Here at Auto Solutions, we’ve really got into the festive spirit!

One of Santa’s most important ‘tools of the trade’ is his sleigh … and this year, we’re proud to say we helped him out big time!

We all know kids just love Christmas, so we helped one of our local primary schools by creating Santa’s sleigh.

Hopefully this will help him deliver all those gifts on Christmas Eve, pulled by Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer.

How we did it ...

First of all, we cut out the shapes of the sleigh so they so they could be assembled, painted and upholstered ready for Santa and his busiest time of year.

The Auto Solutions team did a great job cutting out all the pieces from larger sheets of plywood.

We then created the interior of the sleigh, ready for Santa to sit in, along with enough room to store all the gifts.

We also made a couple of reindeer, just in case Rudolph got tired!

Once we put together all the pieces, we had to get the sleigh painted up. You could say we are experts at this, and Santa’s sleigh was a real treat to prepare.

We used a mixture of poster and wall paints, including a bright red for the main sleigh colour, various browns for the reindeer and we put some glitter on their antlers … just because we wanted to … and we painted the sleigh runners too.

Of course, Santa is in his sleigh for a very long time on Christmas Eve, so we wanted to make the seat as comfy as possible.
We involved our families too and they helped make Santa’s seat as cushioned as possible by upholstering it … we have to say it was very comfy indeed! Our family involvement doesn’t stop here as we have another connection with Santa … let’s just say, we know his true identity!

Once the sleigh was in place, the staff and kids at the school added some great winter effects, such as snow, a Christmas tree, lots of tinsel and even some snowballs along with a brilliant backdrop.

Now, Santa does get hungry, very hungry when he’s getting ready for Christmas Eve … so Auto Solutions made sure he enjoyed a hearty breakfast, along with the pupils, ready for his busy time. And as a thank you for feeding Santa, the kids also get a free gift each, sponsored by Auto Solutions.
We are very much about supporting our local community and it is our absolute pleasure to help bring a bit of festive cheer to one of our local schools.

We have to say it did look amazing, even though we say so ourselves and we’d really like to thank everyone for all the hard work. We thoroughly enjoyed doing it and we hope to do something different next year.

Have a very merry Christmas from everyone here at Auto Solutions and wishing every a very happy New Year too.
